President
I founded this organization almost nine years after my best friend completed suicide. I knew that I wanted to help save lives, but I wasn't sure how at the time. Maybe I thought I couldn't after losing him. I realized, throughout the years, that my purpose really is to try and touch as many lives as possible and help them find their reasons for living and loving life. We all face adversity and fall upon hard times. My genuine passion is speaking life and love into those around me. As a straight presenting, Queer, African American woman, I understand the daily hardships that come with simply existing. I am genuinely here to nurture my community and those growing into themselves along the way. I hope I make Rj proud through my efforts.

My ultimate goal is to help young persons find their reasons why. I believe self-expression is a key factor to reach your aspirations. Growing up, I couldn’t express myself because of judgment and lack of self confidence. In finding myself, I was able to find my reasons to become the woman I am today.

I joined Reasons Why with the vision and drive to focus on developing the organization with experience and integrity. I am here to ensure that we are able to assist those in need by way of accounting for funding and assisting wherever I am needed. I am an Ally to the LBGTQIA+ community and I am proud to be a part of this organization. I believe in the mission and know that we are all human and need love and support no matter who we choose to love.
